Coming soon, with invites in small waves

Talk things through with an AI that remembers what matters

DeepShrink is a reflection companion for adults. Before it keeps anything it picked up from your conversations, it asks you, and its notes sit on a page you can read and edit. When you want more structure than a conversation, it can walk you through a guided self-help exercise.

We email you once to confirm, then only about your invite and the launch. Your address joins the list only after you confirm. Privacy notice

Reflection Example

I always say yes and then regret it. Now I've agreed to another project and I'm dreading the weekend.

That's the third time this month you've told me about agreeing to something and regretting it later. Would it help to look at what happens in the moment you say yes?

Yes. I think I'm scared of letting people down.

Memory page To review

Finds it hard to say no to extra work, and regrets it afterwards.

From your words: "I always say yes and then regret it."

An illustration. Suggested notes wait on your memory page, with the words they came from, until you accept, edit or reject them.

About the name

"Shrink" is slang for a psychiatrist or therapist, so it is fair to ask what DeepShrink is. It is a self-help tool built on AI. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, it does not replace a therapist, and it is not for emergencies.

The app tells you the same thing before your first conversation: "DeepShrink is an AI. It's not a person, not a therapist, and not for emergencies. If you're in danger, use Support."

How it works

A conversation that keeps its notes where you can see them

  1. Tell it what matters

A short intake asks what feels stuck right now and how you would like it to talk to you. Optional questions go further, into things like your values. You can change any of it later in your profile.

  2. Talk when you need to

Pick a mode for the conversation: open talk, reflection, coaching, creative or brainstorming. If a session runs past 20 minutes, it offers you a pause.

  3. Read what it remembers

When it picks up something worth remembering, it suggests a note on your memory page with the words it came from. You accept, edit or reject each one, and can change or clear the memory later.

  4. Try an exercise if you want one

When a technique might help, it suggests one, never more than one at a time, and you decide whether to start it.

What's inside

Conversation first, with structure there when you want it

DeepShrink is in private development. This is what the first release is being built to do, and details may change before launch.

  • Conversations

Five modes, a tone you choose and your own instructions for how it should talk to you. Every so often it nudges you to talk to someone you trust, too.

  • Memory you can read

Notes about your life and goals, each with the words it came from. Accept or reject suggestions one by one, edit any note, or clear the whole memory.

  • Guided techniques

91 techniques with step-by-step guides, each drawn from one of the 18 approaches listed below.

  • Journeys

Multi-week programmes with a step for each day, on grief, on focus and feelings, and on sleep.

  • Check-ins

A daily check-in for mood, energy and stress, diaries for sleep, symptoms and social time, and a calendar of your history.

  • Tools for one problem

A worry tree, a decision workspace, a Wheel of Life, letter-writing prompts and 15 short resets for when you only have a few minutes.

  • Insights

Trends from your check-ins. If you turn pattern-finding on, you also get a weekly review and patterns, shown as things that tend to go together, never as causes, and only once there is enough data to say anything.

Drawn from 18 approaches

Each technique comes from an established approach in psychology, and most are written as exercises you can do on your own.

  • CBT
  • DBT
  • ACT
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Solution-Focused
  • Psychodynamic
  • Internal Family Systems
  • Narrative
  • Positive Psychology
  • Gestalt
  • Somatic
  • Attachment
  • EMDR-adjacent techniques
  • Compassion-Focused

Safety

For the harder days

DeepShrink is built for everyday reflection, and it is not crisis care. A few protections are always on, whatever your settings.

If you are in danger right now, call your local emergency number. In the EU that is 112.

  • A safety check on every message

If something you write suggests you could be in danger, it shows you crisis contacts for your country where available, and international lines otherwise. You cannot switch this off.

  • Support that works offline

In the iPhone and Android apps, crisis contacts open even without a connection.

  • It never contacts anyone for you

DeepShrink will not message, call or alert anyone on your behalf. Reaching out stays your decision.

  • Never behind a paywall

Crisis support and your safety plan are included in every plan.

Privacy

What happens to what you share

What you write about your feelings and your life is sensitive. DeepShrink only stores and uses it with your explicit consent, and it tells you plainly who else is involved.

  • Stored in the EU

Your account and conversations are stored on servers in the European Union. The AI providers that write replies may process your messages outside it.

  • Consent you can change

You decide separately whether it may suggest memories or look for patterns, and you can withdraw either in settings.

  • Take it with you, or delete it

Export all of your data, reset your reflections, clear its memory or delete your account whenever you want.

  • Who else can see it

Replies are written by AI models from third-party providers, which receive your messages to answer them. DeepShrink staff may review conversations to improve quality and safety, and every staff view is logged.
